Process
The Selection Sheets
You will be contacted to choose a time when your selections
are to be made which will be shortly after you sign the
Construction Agreement. It is important to make your selections
carefully since supplies, services, and materials for your
home are ordered well in advance based upon you choices.
Changes to the Customer Selection Sheet
Changes to the original customer selection sheet are sometimes
possible. We may be able to accommodate some changes prior
to the start of construction, but please be aware that there
will be an additional administrative charge for this service
as outlined on the selection documents.
Substitutions
Piney Island Builders may be required to make minor product
substitutions while building your home. This may be caused
by factors such as code revisions, design improvements,
or product liability. When substitutions are necessary,
we will replace the item with a product that matches your
original selection as closely as possible. In every case,
the substituted items will be of equal quality, style, and
value.
Estimated Completion Date
The estimated completion date is listed in the Construction
Agreement. Keep in mind, however, that this is an estimate,
and the actual Settlement date of your home can depend upon
a variety of factors. These factors may include completion
of mortgage financing, weather conditions, labor, governmental
agencies, or other situations beyond our control. Whatever
the circumstances, Piney Island Builders will keep you advised
of the building progress and the projected settlement date
of your home.
