Move-in Service Conference
The service manager will meet with you to
verify that repairs noted on the pre-settlement orientation
checklist are satisfactorily complete. You'll be asked to
sign the checklist to acknowledge that these items have
been corrected. If for any reason you cannot be available
please authorize, in writing, another individual to the
responsibility. Should you discover items that were missed
during the pre-settlement orientation, or should you have
questions about your home and its equipment, please bring
these up at the conference.
Final Service Conference
The service manager will contact you approximately 9 months
to 1 year after settlement to schedule the final service
conference. Our goal is to ensure that you as a Piney Island
Home owner is satisfied, that all your questions have been
answered, and that all-necessary repairs have been completed.
Emergencies and Request for Additional Service
For emergency situations you have been provided with a
list of all contractors phone numbers. Please contact the
necessary contractor for any emergency situations. All our
contractors have been instructed to respond to our homeowners
in a timely fashion. If for some reason they are unavailable
please immediately contact the Piney Island office.
If additional service is required, please fill out the
"Request for additional service form" contained in your
settlement package you have received at your pre-settlement
orientation. Please forward this form to the Piney Island
office at 29 Broad St. Unit 101 Berlin, MD 21811.
Warranty Protection
You can count on Piney Island for long term peace of mind,
since every Piney Island home is backed by our 2-10 homebuyers
warranty and the product manufactures additional coverage.
The 2-10 homebuyers warrants workmanship and materials for
one year; and structural systems for ten years. Finally,
Piney Island homeowners are protected by product warranties
from the name brand manufactures that supply products used
in your home.
